About Eliza
I believe music should be a source of peace, confidence, and joy—and my flute lessons are designed to create exactly that for adults who are ready to explore something new or return to something familiar. Most of my students are over 50 and come to lessons with a wide range of experiences, from complete beginners to those who played an instrument long ago. I tailor every session to match your needs, using clear explanations and gentle pacing. We begin with the fundamentals—breath control, posture, and tone—and progress into melodies, rhythm, and reading music. I break things into manageable steps that reduce frustration and boost your confidence right away. You’ll never feel rushed or compared; instead, you’ll feel heard, supported, and encouraged at every turn. I also integrate audio support, play-along materials, and guided practice tools that help you stay motivated between lessons. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful hobby or preparing to play with others, I’ll help you find your unique path forward through music.

Flute teaching for me is about honoring your individuality while guiding you through a structured, supportive learning process. I specialize in helping adults over 50 take meaningful steps into or back into flute playing. Some come to me because they want to join a community band, while others are looking for a calm, artistic outlet.
Whatever your goal, I create a personalized plan that grows with you. We build your technique with classic exercises but also explore improvisation, music appreciation, and creative ways to stay motivated at home. I use adaptive learning tools that allow you to hear your progress in real time and adjust your tempo, pitch, or articulation based on what works best for your learning style. Lessons are a dialogue, not a lecture—your questions, insights, and stories shape our sessions as much as the music does.
