I have spent the last 7 years studying Japanese and have taken several courses at University, and served as the president of my university’s Japan Club.I am currently at N3 proficiency in the language. I have taught and guided several beginner student and have organized a Japanese study/ tutoring groups at my university.

Language is multi faceted subject to teach. I break down Japanese into Grammer, vocabulary, Kanji (Chinese loan chapters Japanese uses), Speaking, Listening and Reading/Writing. I use methods so that students don’t just memorize phrases, but have a innate understanding of how to construct their own sentences, and like to build a framework for further learning. I explore sentence construction, different grammatical aspects, including the dreaded verb conjugation. I’ve found that building as strong base allows students to feel more comfortable with the language. I utilize the Genki 1/2 books as well as resources for Kanji, and Vocabulary.
