About Nancy
Flute is a beautiful, expressive instrument that is perfectly suited to adult learners. My teaching focuses on helping students develop a clear tone, steady rhythm, and confidence in reading and interpreting music all within a relaxed, encouraging environment. I bring a background in both music education and wellness practices, which means our lessons often include moments of breath awareness, gentle posture alignment, and mindful listening. These tools not only help with playing, but also with staying calm and focused. My adult students often tell me they appreciate the space I create for questions, experimentation, and humor.
