About Clea
I’m a violin tutor with over 10 years of experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Historical Performance, specializing in Baroque Violin. I love working with young children, using playful and age-appropriate strategies to make learning fun. Developing strong ear training and aural skills from an early age is a key part of my teaching. I use storytelling, rhythm games, and movement to engage students and bring music to life. Simple melodies help children build technique while enjoying the process. My lessons are inspired by Suzuki and Kodály methods, which focus on listening, repetition, and gradual skill-building. I believe that learning violin should be imaginative and joyful, sparking a lifelong love of music. Each lesson is designed to nurture musicality while building solid foundational skills. I tailor my approach to each child’s pace and interests. My goal is to help young learners develop confidence and a keen musical ear. With a mix of fun activities and focused practice, I guide students toward real progress. Watching children light up when they understand a new concept is the best part of teaching. Together, we make the violin a joyful adventure. Let’s explore the beautiful world of music with curiosity and creativity!

My lessons are designed to give a well-rounded knowledge of owning and caring for a violin. I’m very good with The Content Creator and The Shower Singer, guiding them step-by-step through every aspect of violin upkeep. Together, we build confidence in managing your instrument’s health. You’ll learn how to recognize common issues and fix minor problems on your own. I provide clear, simple instructions that anyone can follow. This approach helps students feel empowered and responsible for their violin. I believe that a well-maintained violin sounds better and lasts longer. With steady practice and proper care, your playing will improve too. My goal is to prepare you thoroughly so your instrument is always ready to perform. You’ll know how to care for your violin like a pro. Let’s keep your violin sounding beautiful and playing smoothly!
