Experienced/certified teacher/translator of ARABIC, ESL, French and Hebrew for adults and children

Methodology

My students range from school kids to college and university students of various levels and ages.
I use the the integrated method of spoken and formal based on the four skills of learning a language in my teaching method which include reading, listening, writing and big emphasis on speaking.
My long years of experience in teaching have equipped me with effective tools which make learning a language faster and more enjoyable. Also, patience is one virtue that teachers can't do without in addition to creativity, empathy, dedication and open-mindedness.
In short, as William Arthur Ward stated: "The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires."

Background

I have over 25 years of experience teaching Modern Standard Arabic as well as spoken Levantine. I am skilled at formulating curricula and lesson plans, training instructors and structuring language programs including cultural component. At my present position at Seton Hall University as a full-time instructor and the coordinator of Arabic Language Program I have structured the program and introduced Arabic as a minor for the first time in the history of the University. I have developed similar program at the Magnet Stuyvesant High School.
It should be noted that I am also enrolled in TESOL Certification Program at the New School which is regarded one of the leading innovative programs in teaching English to nonnative speakers.
Throughout my career I have been recognized for improving student’s performance and developing innovative programs. What I would bring to this position includes effective communications skills, the ability to acquire and keep students’ attention, and a strong desire to provide the highest quality of education possible.
