I tutor biology with a focus on making complex concepts feel logical, visual, and approachable, especially for high school and early college students.
My teaching method is based on simplifying the big picture first, then diving into details using analogies, diagrams, and active recall techniques. Whether we’re breaking down gene expression, exploring cellular pathways, or decoding Punnett squares, I make sure the why behind every concept is clear. I emphasize critical thinking over memorization, helping students connect topics across units and courses.
A typical lesson starts with a quick review of what we covered previously, then we move into a focused topic—like DNA replication or population genetics—with discussion, real-world examples, and problem-solving practice. I wrap up with questions, quick quizzes, and a mini-preview of the next session.
