I highly recommend Sarah. She is an excellent tutor, she helped both my boys(grade3 and kindergarten) to learn and understand each concept in a customized style to match my both boys learning preferences. Her ability to simplify each topic made all the difference. My grade 3 child is now capable of tackling challenging problems that used to overwhelm him. It's been more than a year now with Sarah and I can't thank her enough of how she taught both boys deeper understanding of each concept. Sarah is absolutely incredible. She makes learning fun and has a special knack with kids. She has been tutoring my eldest daughter for a year now in both reading and math, and my younger daughter begs to join because they’re having such a good time (which she does sometimes).
Sarah is very organized and clear about what she plans to teach every time she works with my daughter. She comes prepared with all kinds of educational materials and games to make the learning interactive. She uses both indoor and outdoor to teach (for example, she’ll introduce a sound scavenger hunt or phonics hopscotch).
She is trained in the Orton-Gillingham method, which is rooted in phonics to teach reading. This is how my daughter learns best. My daughter is a special needs kiddo, and even beyond her training, Sarah has a natural understanding of how to get through to my daughter.
