About Holly
I have been teaching full-time for 32 years but before that, I had my own tutoring business at the high school in my hometown. I LOVE math, but also know that it doesn't come easy to everyone. Our brains are all wired differently so that is why we all learn differently. I have immense patience to work with those who really want to learn but struggle. I decided to become a teacher while in high school helping a friend with homework. His grade rose from a "D" to a "B" in one grading period. That's when I discovered I could explain the content in such a way that others could easily understand. My wish is for everyone to be successful in their learning experience and have something to be proud of. A little about my personal life... I thank God that I can help others with the gifts and abilities He has given me. I live in a rural Pennsylvania town with my husband and goldendoodle. I have 3 adult children and 3 grandchildren.

I break down mathematics in a way that is easily understood. I ask thought-provoking questions requiring higher level thinking, which in turn will promote retention of the content. I encourage questions from my students. If the subject matter is not understood, I find another approach.
