About Grace

Having graduated from a specialist Maths school - the top performing school in the country - I have top grades in Maths, Further Maths and Physics A Level as well as achieving grade 9 in Maths and Physics GCSE. My academic background extends beyond exams; I have also completed research projects in collaboration with the King’s College London Biomedical Engineering Department and have created several websites with my self-taught coding skills. I am currently a student at the University of Kent studying Social Policy with Quantitative Research, hoping to start training as a Maths teacher after I graduate via the Teach First program.
I am passionate about teaching and have been tutoring for over 4 years alongside my studies, hoping to inspire my students to share my love of the subject as well as helping them to achieve academic success.
My love for Maths continues in my spare time - I am involved in many extracurriculars at my University, including my role as the Vice President of the Mathematics Society and the Social Secretary of the Chess Society.

About the lesson

I have been tutoring Maths both privately and in tuition centres and schools for over 5 years, teaching children of all ages and abilities right from Year 1 up to A Level. I have also taught adult students looking to gain their GCSE or Functional Skills qualification in Maths.
Each lesson is different as I adapt my teaching style to best fit the needs and personality of the individual student, but generally I like to work through practice questions together, providing the opportunity for students to think independently whilst still receiving the guidance and help they need to achieve their academic goals.
Lessons are usually one hour long, but two hour lessons are available (these can be particularly useful for students looking to recap large amounts of material close to exam season). Tuition can be provided either online or in person depending on the location and preference of the student.
