Sarah is an excellent and very knowledgeable music teacher, and I highly recommend her! She taught my teenage son both piano and trumpet remotely for approximately 4 years. She was consistently patient, kind, and encouraging to him. She helped him progress substantially in both instruments, including helping him prepare his tryout selections for high school band. She suggested music pieces for him based on his particular music interests. I was greatly impressed with her ability to communicate with him and establish a relationship with him, even though it was on-line. We started lessons during the pandemic and she was a very positive, reliable, and helpful teacher for him throughout their years together. I absolutely recommend her to anyone interested in music lessons! I could not have been happier with her and found her extremely easy to work with!

I’m 60 years old and have taken both in-person and online music theory lessons with Sarah for several years. I can’t believe how much I’m learning! She deconstructs complex concepts into bite-sized pieces, and I feel empowered that I’m on the road to learning it fully. Sarah is patient and will present a concept in a different way if I don’t understand (i.e., verbally, visually, aurally). She is very organized; from week to week she remembers where we left off and sends reminders for what to work on. Her teaching style and caring attitude motivates me to keep practicing on my own.
