About Christina Blanche
I live in Cairns, Australia, and have taught for 30+ years in Primary schools where I've had lots of different roles. The role I love the best is as a Learning Support teacher! It's great to see students turn into avid readers and writers! I also love reading, writing, traveling, the environment, animals and conservation. I often combine all these aspects and become involved in the conservation of animals by supporting wildlife rescue and rehabilitation programs in Cairns and South Africa. I also work in the area of environmental education for children, especially in South Africa!

Each student is an individual with different needs and interests. Along with the baseline learning assessment, these aspects are the basis of each lesson plan. Add a positive, learner centred environment where on-task behaviours and academic improvements, no matter how small, are celebrated and you have an hour of tutoring which is enjoyable!
As an experienced teacher in both classroom and learning support settings, across two States - Queensland and New South Wales and two countries - United Kingdom and Canada, I bring a passion for seeing children progress! Happy to provide tutoring for children from Kindergarten to Grade 6.
