About Alek

Teaching saxophone is about creating an environment where students can explore their musicality while building solid technical skills. I focus on helping students develop a strong foundation in the basics: breath control, tone production, finger technique, and embouchure. Once these elements are in place, I challenge students to expand their musical vocabulary by introducing rhythm, phrasing, and articulation. I place a strong emphasis on personal expression, encouraging students to experiment with improvisation and develop their own voice on the instrument. Each student learns at their own pace, so I tailor lessons to their individual needs and goals, whether they are working toward a performance, an exam, or simply enjoying playing music. I believe in making lessons both fun and educational, so I use real songs and practical exercises to keep students engaged. I also emphasize the importance of regular practice and offer constructive feedback to ensure that students continue to progress. By fostering a supportive and encouraging atmosphere, I help students build confidence and enthusiasm for learning.
