About Serina

Teaching has always been my passion. Back in Japan, I worked as a teacher at both primary schools and international schools, supporting children’s learning and development in diverse environments. After moving to Cairns, I’ve continued working closely with people as a childcare assistant, in restaurants, and in local shops. Cairns is a wonderfully diverse place, and through these experiences, I’ve learned how meaningful and beautiful it is to connect with people across languages and cultures. Now, I hope to share the beauty of Japanese language and culture with others through warm, engaging lessons.

About the lesson

For children, I create fun and interactive lessons using songs, games, and stories so they can learn Japanese naturally while playing. Lessons are 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the child’s age, focus, and energy level.

For adults, I focus on useful vocabulary and expressions that are commonly used in daily conversations. Lessons are tailored to each learner’s level and interests, and I adjust the content accordingly. Adult sessions usually run for 45 to 60 minutes, with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere to support confident speaking.
