  • When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?

I started tutoring around 2020-mostly helping friends with maths during lockdown. I didn't expect to love it so much, but seeing someone go from "I don't get it" to "Oh wow, I understand this now" was such a cool feeling, and it stuck with me.
  • Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and maybe those you like a little less).

I teach Maths, and honestly, I love all of it! If I had to pick a favourite, I'd say integrals-there's something satisfying about how everything fits together. I'm not the biggest fan of topics that rely purely on memorisation, but I try to make even those parts fun and relatable.
  • Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?

Yes! My Year 8 maths teacher made a huge impact. She made class exciting and believed in me at a time I really needed it. That experience made me fall in love with maths-and with teaching, too.
  • What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?

Patience, empathy, and knowing how to explain things in different ways. Everyone learns differently, and a good tutor adapts to that. Also, just being encouraging and easy to talk to makes a big difference.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

I once had a student who told me, "I'm just bad at maths." After a few sessions, she was solving equations and actually enjoying it. That moment reminded me why I love doing this.
  • What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or are still facing in your subject?

Maths can be intimidating-I've had my share of "I'll never get this" moments. But I've learned it's okay to struggle, and it's part of the process. That's something I try to pass on to my students, too.
  • Do you have a particular passion?

Besides teaching, I'm a big fan of reading and binge-watching Netflix (especially mystery or sci-fi stuff). It's how I unwind and recharge.
  • What makes you a Superprof (besides answering these interview questions)?

I genuinely care. I create a space where students feel safe to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. I try to make learning feel less scary and more empowering.
