About Engela

I am an Experienced ESL tutor with a passion for helping students of all backgrounds achieve their language learning goals. I have worked with learners ranging from beginners to advanced speakers. My approach focuses on creating a relaxed and engaging environment, where you feel comfortable making mistakes and growing at your own pace. I enjoy tailoring lessons to each student's needs, whether for an exam or practical conversation skills. Outside of teaching, I love traveling, exploring new cultures, and learning new languages, which helps me connect with my students on a deeper level.

About the lesson

My approach as an ESL tutor: As an ESL tutor, I believe in creating a supportive, dynamic learning environment where students feel comfortable, confident, and engaged. My teaching methods are student-centered, focusing on your individual needs, learning styles, and goals. I aim to make each lesson practical, interactive, and enjoyable, integrating real-life situations to make English learning relevant and engaging. Teaching Method & Techniques: - Communicative Approach: I prioritize conversation and fluency, encouraging students to speak as much as possible. This helps build confidence and reinforces practical language use. - Task-based Learning: I use real-world tasks to teach vocabulary, grammar, and language structures in context. This method helps students understand the why and how of English usage. - Personalized Learning: Every student learns differently, so I adapt my lessons to suit your unique needs - whether you're a beginner or an advanced learner. - Interactive Resources: I use a variety of materials such as videos, podcasts, articles, and games to make lessons engaging and to expose students to different English accents, tones, and contexts. Typical Lesson plan: 1) Warm up (5-10 min): Short conversation or activity to activate prior knowledge and introduce new themes. 2) Main Lesson (20-30 min) Focus on grammar, vocabulary, or listening/speaking activities. This can include role plays, discussions, or written exercises. 3) Application (10-15 min): Using the new language in context, often through a task or scenario that requires critical thinking. 4) Feedback and Review (5-10 min): At the end of each lesson, I offer constructive feedback and highlight key takeaways. What sets me apart - Flexible Approach: I adapt lessons to your personal interests and learning pace. Whether you're looking to improve conversational skills, pass an exam, or refine your writing, I'll customize the lessons accordingly. - Patient and Supportive: I understand the challenges of learning a new language and create a relaxed, stress-free environment where mistakes are seen as opportunities for growth. - Real World Application: I focus on practical language skills you can use in daily life, from socializing to business communication. Who the Lessons are for: - Beginners to Advanced Learners: Whether you're just starting out or need to polish your advanced skills, I can help you reach your goals. - Anyone who wants to speak English more confidently: If your goal is to become more confident in everyday conversations, I'm here to help!
