About Cleo

With a profound passion for music and education, I have been dedicated to teaching piano to high school and college students for the past 14 years. Over this time, I have had the privilege of guiding around 150 students, helping them discover their musical potential and love for the piano. My approach is centered on creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore and grow.

One of the significant milestones in my career was seeing one of my students perform at a national music competition, a testament to the hard work and dedication we both invested. Another highlight was a student earning a music scholarship to a prestigious college, showcasing the impact of personalized, passionate teaching.

I believe in the transformative power of music and aim to instill not only technical proficiency but also a deep appreciation for the art. By combining empathy, problem-solving, collaboration, and understanding, I tailor my lessons to meet each student's unique needs and goals. My ultimate goal is to inspire a lifelong passion for music, equipping students with the skills and confidence to express themselves through the piano.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology for piano is built on the principles of empathy, problem-solving, collaboration, and understanding. With over 14 years of playing experience, I strive to create a supportive and engaging learning environment.

**Empathy** is at the heart of my approach; I listen to each student's needs and adapt my teaching style to fit their unique learning pace and preferences. Through **problem-solving**, I help students tackle challenging pieces and technical issues by breaking them down into manageable steps.

**Collaboration** is key in my lessons. I encourage students to actively participate, ask questions, and share their musical interests. Together, we set achievable goals and work towards them as a team.

**Understanding** the theory behind the music is equally important. I incorporate music theory, history, and context to deepen students' appreciation and knowledge.

In addition to piano, I can teach related subjects like music theory, ear training, and keyboard techniques. My goal is to inspire a lifelong passion for music while equipping students with the skills and confidence to express themselves through their instrument.
