I thoroughly enjoy helping people at all levels of math achieve a more intuitive understanding of the topics they encounter. I strive to make mathematical thinking a natural process, rather than one of rote memorization or uncertain repetition. I start by asking a student how they think about a problem and then tailor my examples and explanations to accommodate their thought processes. Throughout each step, I will check in with them to see how their understanding has changed and where I need to go next to refine my approach and better meet their individual needs. I endeavor to explain material in the least confusing manner possible for the student I am working with and will use their input as guidance.
I'm currently in the final year of pursuing an applied math degree at the University of Utah. I have worked as a tutor at Mathnasium in the past for students from Kindergarten to college. I am also currently working as a math and physics tutor for college students in the athletics department of my university. I have a strong background in calculus, algebra, trigonometry, geometry, number theory, statistics, analysis and many other fields of math.
