About Timi

Hi, My name is Timi, I am 23 years old Graduate and I have been tutoring for 6years. I love tutoring because I find it really rewarding and I like to help other achieve their goals. I had tutors in the past, and they had a massive impact on my learning and inspired me to do the same.

Some of my hobbies include, drawing and paintings, watching TV, and going to art galleries. Something I want to learn how to do this year is roller skate :)

I am excited to meet you and look forward to helping you any way I can.

About the lesson

I like to tailor my lessons to each person. I believe in cyclical learning and being able to make learning fun as well as informative. I always want the students to have a positive mindset even for challenging task.

Usually I start with a free intro lesson to meeting the student to find out what they think their strengths and weaknesses in said subjects, followed by a small assessment for me to identify areas of strength and weakness too.

The next lessons that follow slowly start to work on weaker area, but also including stronger ares to ensure that students feel confident even when they get things wrong. This all guided by the school curriculum, to ensure students have a solid foundation of the concepts being taught in school.

I try to make my lessons fun, interactive and something that the students looks forward to. I am able to do this by including age appropriate games, as well as using each students personal interest as examples within the lesson

I also have experience work with children with SEN needs such as ADHD, and plan my lessons accordingly. For example, in the case of someone with ADHD, I try to make the tasks short, including little breaks, as well as gently reminding them to stay focused on the task.

Overall my main goal is to help my students reach their goals, and I am happy to tailor my lessons to each individual.
