Methodology

You've always dreamed of playing your favorite songs, but you've been put off by music theory when you were a kid, and you never really got started?

You want to start the piano with your child, but you want to see if it really hooks, before thinking about enrolling in the conservatory?

Today, it can be difficult to find your way around the huge offer when you are looking for a "piano teacher" on the internet.
The problem is that they all offer the same method with which they themselves learned piano years ago, without adapting to YOUR situation or the situation of YOUR child.
Without knowing why they teach this method and not another.

Before going any further, let me tell you my story.
When I decided to start the piano at the age of 12, I was late compared to all my classmates who had started playing the piano at the age of six at the local Conservatory, pushed by their parents.

I was not in the traditional "circuit", I was officially "too old" to return to the conservatory as a beginner.
So I had to find a way to bypass a lot of traditional learning steps (which normally take a several years), to focus on "what works" first and foremost. The essential elements. I had to reinvent the wheel.
For that, I met an exceptional teacher with whom we deconstructed step by step the way we learn the piano.
With one criterion: efficiency.
All this because I wanted to progress faster than average, and to reach a professional level.

This wasn't easy. But at the price of all these efforts, I managed to fill my "delay" and to be admitted to the National Conservatory of Music and Dance of Paris (CNSMDP) in 2015. In the entrance examination, my 160 competitors were all much more experienced than me, and they were all meticulously prepared. But thanks to my personal strategy and my counter-intuitive method, I managed to be among the 10 lucky ones admitted.

Since then, I have successfully participated in many competitions, festivals, master classes. I was able to fully experience my passion for piano, the way I dreamed as a teenager, when everyone told me it was impossible because I was too old. But first and foremost, I also managed to pass on my method to many students in my conservatory to make them progress faster. Today, I want to increase my offer and I want to target more people.

What sets me apart from other teachers is that I have been in YOUR place. I was not a child prodigy, I was not even particularly "talented" for music. Unlike those who learned the piano in their childhood, I was old enough to remake the entire journey in a completely CONSCIOUS and thoughtful way, analyzing eveything, with just one goal: results, results, results.

Everything I've learned, you can learn too, because over time I managed to really understand what made me progress so fast.

The method I use (modulated according to the age and abilities of each) is organized around three axes:

1) Ear education and physical relaxation, to learn in a natural way and never lose the pleasure of playing and listening

2) The Fundamentals of Harmony to finally understand how songs are built, and manage to learn them ten times faster than if you had learned mechanically note after note. What is the system used by composers?

3) Simple and effective technical tools to quickly overcome difficulties (independence of hands, placement of the body, etc.)
