About Avery
I have a degree in French from Portland State University, and have been tutoring and translating for over 20 years. I work with both adults and children. I lived in France for two years. I have also edited a science fiction, fantasy novel.

I use the skills you already have, that is reading and writing, and conversation. I request that my students keep a journal from day one to practice what they have learned. I teach vocabulary in context, use dictation as a means to find out what my students hear.
