About Sadie

I teach with the belief that great musicianship comes from curiosity, discipline, and emotional connection. With over nine years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance (Pedagogy Focus), I help students grow from their unique starting points. My teaching emphasizes strong sight-reading skills, understanding musical structure, and interpreting the classics with insight and expression. Each lesson blends technique, theory, and historical background. I adapt my teaching to fit each student’s goals and personality. We often explore finger technique, period styles, and how to shape a phrase with feeling. I’ve worked with all levels—from beginners to professional pianists—and I truly enjoy helping each one progress. My approach is steady, encouraging, and thoughtful. I want students to feel empowered at the piano, not just skilled. Together, we’ll build a deeper connection to music and the art of playing. Let’s begin the journey.

About the lesson

My approach blends classical piano instruction with easy-to-understand theory. We use the keyboard to explore everything from chord shapes and progressions to harmonic movement and cadences. I support students aiming for exams, as well as classical players who want to dig deeper into their repertoire. Every lesson is designed to build confidence, clarity, and a strong technical foundation. We’ll also explore how theory supports expression, phrasing, and musical decisions. I tailor each lesson to your pace and goals. My teaching includes hands-on harmonic analysis and score reading. We also use basic composition and improvisation to apply what you've learned. I make complex topics feel simple and manageable. You’ll leave each lesson understanding music better than before. I’m here to support your growth every step of the way.
