Professional. Experienced. Heart-Centered. With over 7 years of hands-on experience working with children, I bring both passion and professionalism to every tutoring session. As a former Pre-K4 teacher, I understand the importance of building a strong academic foundation while nurturing each child’s curiosity and confidence. My teaching style is rooted in play-based learning—because children learn best when they’re engaged, having fun, and feel safe to explore. Every activity I plan is intentional, developmentally appropriate, and designed to support your child’s growth in reading and writing. From rolling letters in playdough to building silly CVC words with letter dice, learning is always joyful and meaningful. I meet children where they are, and guide them at their pace—with patience, creativity, and care. About the lesson

My Teaching Approach
My philosophy is simple: when a child is connected and engaged, learning becomes natural. I focus on creating a warm, playful environment where young learners feel excited to explore reading and writing. I use interactive, sensory-based activities that spark curiosity and support early literacy development—like rolling out letters with playdough, using letter dice to build silly (and real!) words, or tapping out sounds with movement.

Teaching Methods & Techniques
My sessions are hands-on and creative. We blend play with purpose—engaging the child’s senses and imagination while reinforcing important skills like phonics, CVC words, digraphs, and early writing. Whether we’re “feeding” letter sounds to a puppet or going on a sound scavenger hunt around the room, every activity is tailored to meet the child where they are developmentally.

A Typical Lesson Plan
Each session starts with 5–10 minutes of connection time to build rapport and ease into learning. From there, we might:

Review or introduce letter sounds using music or visuals
Build words together (real or nonsense!) with letter manipulatives
Read a beginner-level book together
Play whiteboard games like “Guess the Word” or “Sound Detective”
Finish with a quick movement or drawing activity to reinforce what we learned
