About Ellie
I understand how hard and stressful A-Levels and GCSEs can be, and it makes it even harder if you don't understand the topics. I have a strong passion for academics and really enjoy helping others succeed in their studies. I understand the challenges students face and aim to make learning clear, engaging, and confidence-building. I’m also a grade 8 pianist and love sharing my passion for music through piano lessons. Alongside music, I enjoy sports and staying active, and I believe a balanced lifestyle helps both learning and personal growth. I bring the same dedication and enthusiasm to my tutoring and piano lessons, creating a supportive, motivating environment for every student.

I want to help every student reach their full potential and go on to study their passion just like I am. I aim to make chemistry understandable, engaging, and even fun. I break down complex topics into simple, logical steps and use real-life examples to show how chemistry connects to the world around us. I encourage active participation, ask questions, and adapt my explanations to suit each student’s learning style.
A typical lesson usually starts with a review of previous material to address any questions and ensure a solid foundation. I then introduce new concepts clearly, often with diagrams or examples, before moving on to practice and application with past paper questions or exercises. Finally, we wrap up with a summary and homework, so key points are reinforced and students can continue learning independently.
What sets me apart is that I’m currently studying Chemical Engineering in Edinburgh, so I understand exams from both a student and academic perspective. My lessons are structured yet flexible, tailored to each student’s needs, and focused on building both knowledge and confidence.
These lessons are perfect for GCSE and A-Level Chemistry students, whether you’re struggling with specific topics, aiming for higher grades, or wanting exam-focused practice. All sessions are online and flexible, so they can fit around your schedule.
