About David
Hello! My name is David and I graduated with a Master's Degree in TESOL from The University of Findlay. In my free time, I enjoy playing basketball and video games, and I have a particular interest in Japanese culture and language. I have had the opportunity to live and study abroad in both Fukuoka, Japan and Chicago, Illinois, which has given me a diverse and global perspective on language learning and teaching. In addition to my language teaching experience, I am also a full-time B2B content writer, which allows me to bring a unique blend of creativity and professionalism to my lessons. In my approach to tutoring, my primary focus is on meeting the individual needs and goals of my students. I believe that effective language instruction should be tailored to the unique strengths and challenges of each student, and I strive to create a supportive and personalized learning environment that fosters progress and success.
To accomplish this, I utilize a range of teaching techniques and methodologies, including task-based language teaching, communicative language teaching, and the direct method. These approaches allow me to engage my students in authentic, real-life language practice and help them develop their skills in a holistic and meaningful way.
My lessons typically last one hour, although the length can be adjusted to meet the needs and schedules of my students. I offer lessons to students of all levels, from beginners to advanced learners, and I am happy to work with students of any age.
