About Sam
I’m a full-time artist by trade with thousands of hours on the paper and sell my pieces around Austin in cafes/galleries. My primary medium is simply pen/pencil on paper. I have an international background having grown up in East Africa in various countries. My personal existential philosophies revolve around Buddhism, Taoism, Hinduism, Contemplative Christianity, and many popular psychological theories. I have a deep passion for science, especially microbiology, astronomy, and neurology.

Our priority will be discussing what it is that you want to get out of your art and why, to set goals, and to have fun creating. Having had formal training in fine art I can introduce you to the fundamentals of drawing needed to create proportionally consistent images with clarity and depth. Learning the rules so that you can break them is my biggest goal—art to the end of individual expression and storytelling is my main focus! Mainly, though, I just love sharing my love of art with others.
