About Sara

I attended high school in the French Lycée of Madrid, where I specialized in mathematics. However, since I knew I wanted to study abroad, I also prepared the SATs and the further maths SATs, exams that helped me understand how mathematics are taught in the US system and consolidate my own background, reaching goals of 590/600 on practice tests. Later at university I majored in Mathematics, specializing in analysis and algebra, although I also took some courses on applied mathematics such as differential equations, vector calculus and solar theory. I have also experience working in Data Science and programming, so my statistics background is continuously refreshed and adapted to the data science market.

About the lesson

Maths can be very challenging, but quite often the approach to give it makes it even harder. As someone that did not always excel in mathematics, I try to motivate people as much as possible and get rid of the ‘I’m not good at it’ mentality’. I have 5 years of experience tutoring, in groups and in private lessons, and I always enjoy adapting my classes to the needs of my students. Besides, I have experience developing study tools academically validated for students to practice as well as maths guides (ask me and I can send you some useful websites). This has helped me a lot to understand how maths are taught and improve the way I teach them as well.
