About Marni
I have two Masters Degrees in Sociology and I hold a Bachelors degree in Anthropology and Archaeology. I am currently working toward my PhD in Sociology at University of Illinois at Chicago where I focus on racism in social justice organizations. I also conduct research at the Institute for Research on Race and Public Policy. Prior to my graduate work I worked in the Carnegie Museum of Natural History as a docent and in various social justice nonprofits/movements for five years. I also have attended three Archaeological field schools, one at the graduate level, and am trained in Anthropological theory and methods.

My classes will be tailored to student needs! I have over three years experience teaching undergraduate students in Sociology including theory, methods and race. I love helping students apply what they learn in class to the world around them!
I can also offer life mentorship at the end of your undergraduate journey including resume building, job searching, graduate applications and graduate statements of purpose. I am here to make sociology fun and to ignite your sociological imagination
