About Stella
With a DMA in Piano Performance and 5 years of teaching experience, I help pianists reach advanced levels of jazz performance. My students have gone on to study at Berklee, Juilliard, and other world-class conservatories. I believe that great jazz playing requires both technical strength and artistic individuality. Lessons emphasise improvisation, chord voicings, and rhythmic creativity. I also place strong focus on tone, technique, and precision. Each lesson is personalised, with a balance of structure and freedom. I prepare students for auditions, performances, and competitions with detailed strategies. At the same time, I encourage exploration of personal sound and style. I work with students to build confidence in performance settings. I enjoy teaching musicians who are serious about pushing their limits. My teaching is both demanding and supportive. The goal is always to unlock your full potential as a creative jazz pianist.

My piano lessons are designed to be warm, motivating, and deeply practical. I emphasise the unique art of accompaniment, where pianists learn to support and elevate others. Students work on lead sheet reading, transposing, and developing rhythmic awareness. Playing with other musicians requires not only technical skills but also musical sensitivity. Lessons include collaborative exercises that build confidence in ensemble settings. I use visual aids, shared scores, and interactive tools to clarify complex ideas. You’ll practise listening, blending, and shaping sound in partnership with others. My lessons are especially valuable for those playing in live worship environments or creating in digital studios. I take time to ensure each student’s progress is detailed and consistent. At the same time, I encourage creativity and personal expression. My approach blends structure with flexibility to keep learning enjoyable. I am committed to guiding you step by step into greater skill and artistry. Together, we’ll cultivate accompaniment as a joyful and essential part of your musical journey.
