About Kyler
After 8 years of teaching guitar, the focus remains the same: helping students become confident, creative, and skilled musicians. Working with students from elementary to college level has shown how much music can inspire and empower. Lessons are built around strong communication, clear steps, and steady progress. Each session is designed to be enjoyable and easy to follow. Whether a student is learning their first chords or preparing to perform in public, the support is always there. Real-life examples are used to show how music connects to everyday life. Famous musicians, personal stories, and fun challenges keep the lessons interesting and inspiring. One career highlight was helping a group of college students form their first band, guiding them through teamwork, song selection, and performance prep. Lessons often go beyond just playing. Students also explore songwriting, performance tips, ear training, and building their own unique style. These extra skills help them become well-rounded musicians. Teaching is not just about sharing knowledge—it’s about lifting students up, helping them find joy in learning, and encouraging them to believe in themselves through music."

My step-by-step guitar approach focuses on making progress without confusion or frustration. Each lesson builds on the last, always with the goal of helping you play real music. I start with simple chords and strumming, then gradually introduce more complex techniques—all using real songs and artist examples.
I communicate clearly and make time for questions. I check in often, adjust the pace, and use feedback to shape each lesson. I’ll never rush you, and I’ll always celebrate small wins with you.
I adjust my teaching based on your needs. Visual learners get diagrams and hand shapes. Auditory learners get sound-focused exercises. Kinesthetic learners get movement-based memory tools. Adaptability is a core part of every lesson.
We’ll look at how real musicians practice, rehearse, and improve. I use short video clips and live recordings to show how players build up songs, make mistakes, and recover.
In addition to guitar playing, I can teach melody writing, rhythm drills, fingerpicking, improvisation, chord voicing, and song arrangement, so you’re ready for open mics, jam sessions, or just playing for friends and family."
