About Katherine
I hold a Master’s degree in Music and have been teaching guitar for over six years. My academic background gave me both theoretical expertise and performance skills, which I now share with students in a way that makes learning structured, clear, and engaging. Over my years of teaching, I have worked with learners ranging from complete beginners to advanced players. By tailoring my approach to each individual’s needs, I ensure that every student feels both challenged and supported as they progress in their guitar journey. What drives my teaching is a passion for inspiring creativity while maintaining discipline. I believe learning guitar goes beyond music; it develops patience, focus, and confidence. My lessons are designed not only to build musical talent but also to nurture personal growth in every student.

My guitar lessons begin with building a solid foundation in essential techniques. Students learn correct hand positioning, accurate strumming, and proper fingerstyle approaches. These fundamentals ensure they can transition smoothly into more advanced skills while maintaining clarity of sound and confidence in their playing.
Beyond technique, lessons emphasize scales, rhythm, and chord progressions. I help students understand how music theory connects directly to the guitar, making it easier to improvise, compose, and accompany. These connections allow learners to approach songs and solos with a deeper level of musical awareness.
Performance and expression are also a major focus. Students practice stage confidence, dynamic control, and stylistic variety, from classical tones to modern genres. Each learner develops the ability to not only play accurately but also communicate emotion and creativity through their guitar.
