About Janice
Through my years I have taught in various teaching setting modeling teaching for teachers. I believe strongly in hands on learning and teaching for meaning. I have encouraged students to engage in problem-solving experiences and looking for problem solutions rather than simply rule following. I have been teaching for 45 years. I have taught thousands of students. Many of them have gone on to obtain advanced degrees.

My teaching methodology is “hands on” learning and teaching for meaning. I do not just give students formulas to following. I help them to understand what is happening. Many of the teachers that I have taught learned by old methods and I help the unlearn the ole follow the rule and instead try to build understanding.
