About Caroline
I have a bilateral hearing loss and identify as hard of hearing. I knew some signs when I was a child, but then self-taught in high school when ASL classes weren’t offered as an option. I then attended Rochester Institute of Technology where I picked up sign language as well as took a class. I now use it often with my friends who also use sign language. I have experiences tutoring beginners who can now engage in conversations!

I always start with the basics if you’re new to sign language, such as the ABCs and important signs/phrases to know as a beginner. I then go into topics, such as jobs, seasons, activities, and etc. I always use practice conversations to work on your receptive and expressive skills!
