About Olivia

I am a professional Latin dance teacher with 4 years of teaching experience. My specialties include Rumba, Cha-Cha, and Samba. Whether it's partner dancing or solo dancing, I can provide you with professional guidance. In 2017, I won the national Latin dance championship with my dance partner. Additionally, I have traveled to Russia and Italy to further my studies in Latin dance and was invited to attend world dance exhibitions in Germany and the UK. Over the years, I have accumulated extensive experience and developed my own unique understanding of dance. I also taught dance to young children in a kindergarten, which has enriched my 4 years of teaching experience. If you are interested in Latin dance, feel free to message me for more details. If you would like to practice at the dance studio, please schedule an appointment in advance and pay a venue fee of 30 CAD. Thank you for your understanding and support!

About the lesson

I don't have dance studio in NYC. I am still waiting sponsor. I am Latin dance instructor, my approach to sharing knowledge is dynamic and infused with passion. I leverage a methodology that prioritizes embodiment and musicality, emphasizing the joyful expression and cultural richness of Latin dance forms. My teaching techniques include clear verbal instruction, demonstration, partner work, and detailed feedback to help students fine-tune their movements and embrace the rhythm of the dance.
A typical lesson plan unfolds in carefully curated stages, designed to maximize both fun and learning:
1. Warm-up with basic steps and stretches to prepare the body and mind.
2. Technical drills focusing on footwork, posture, and timing.
3. Partner work to practice leading and following techniques.
4. Introduction of a new pattern or combination, broken down step by step.
5. Guided practice of the new material with music.
6. Cool-down with gentle stretching and a recap of the session's key points.
