About Sunhee

I’m a certified Korean Language Teacher (Level 2), living in California, USA.
I began teaching by supporting my child’s studies and later pursued formal training to deepen my expertise.
For the past 8 years, I’ve taught Korean to diaspora children and now offer online lessons focused on conversation, culture, and confidence.

I use structured textbooks and various resources to make learning Korean enjoyable and effective.

I actively share Korean language materials and fun quiz-style learning content on Instagram to help students stay engaged.

Recently, I was featured in an international article published by K-12 Dive, where I shared my Korean culture-focused lessons such as Seollal, Chuseok, and holiday comparisons between Korea and the U.S.

About the lesson

About my lessons
My lessons focus on reading and speaking, with an emphasis on expressions used in real-life situations. Instead of memorizing grammar rules, I help students naturally learn through guided conversation and situational practice.

A typical class includes:
1. Review of the previous lesson + short free talking
2. Introduction of today’s topic and key expressions
3. Practice using textbooks and online resources
4. Role-play, Q&A games, and real-life simulations
5. Feedback and next-step suggestions

I use Sejong Institute textbooks, practical Korean books for foreigners, and my own curated worksheets. Lesson topics include daily life, travel, restaurants, workplace language, and more — all tailored to your level and goals.
