About Nina
I have a rich background in tutoring, having worked for a tutoring company throughout high school and in addition to volunteer tutoring. At Georgetown, I am the president of SweetStrips, a club that tutors STEM subjects to D.C. elementary students.
In my free time, I like playing soccer and cooking. I'm originally from Southwest Florida and like to spend a lot of time outdoors.

In my prior tutoring experiences, I have taken care to tailor my tutoring approach to an individual student. This involves having a student tell me what type of learner they are, and taking care to adjust my teaching approach to their preferred style.
I like to break down biology into simpler concepts, as I believe a lot of confusion about the subject stems from over-complicated textbook explanations or ineffective teaching styles. As a tutor, I will create virtual presentations with visuals to aid the learning process, combined with exercises that I will undergo with the student.
I can tutor biology at levels from middle school to college; I have a 3.9 at Georgetown University and a 520 on my MCAT.
