About Avery
I am currently 21 years old, and I am a student at UMKC. I have one semester of school left until I have completed my bachelor's degree in psychology. Once I have graduated, I plan on applying to master's programs in order to further my education and become a certified counselor. Outside of school, I spend time dancing, crocheting, baking or exploring the city with friends. I have always had an innate passion for dance, and I hope that through this, I can share that passion with other dancers and inspire them to see the true power of dance and all of the ways that it can positively impact your life.

As an experienced dancer myself, I know the ins and outs of dance. Not only am I well versed in many styles of dance, I also have over 8 years of experience working in childcare with ages 4-18. As a dance teacher, I strive to help my students grow, no matter what the pace may be. I am incredibly understanding and flexible so that the dancer(s) feel comfortable and inspired while in class. I have been intensely trained on technique in the studio and while I was on my high school varsity dance team. I have taken the skills that I have learned from my own coaches and teachers and allowed that to fuel me to be the best dance teacher/tutor that I can be.
