About Melissa
Hi there! I have been a high school Spanish teacher for 16 years and before that, taught middle school Spanish for 5 years. I have five children, two of whom are in college, the other three are in high school. I enjoy teaching, and can't see myself doing anything else. My favorite thing about teaching is making connections with students and finding out what drives them to learn.

I love to gamify learning for students to learn Spanish. We use websites such as GimKit, Kahoot, Blooket, PearDeck for notes, and tips and tricks to help students make connections to English, or to help them remember the vocabulary. My main focus is to make connections with students to target my teaching to in ways that interest them and hold their attention.
