I work exceptionally hard to identify the needs of each individual and tailor my teaching to them in order to best optimize their connection to the curriculum. I ensure that all the material is age and ability appropriate, and I try my best to weave in material that makes the individual interested in learning and exploring the topic for themselves. I believe in multidisciplinary approach to learning, and thus think there is a benefit to learning history in tandem with english, art, and even science and math.
I recently finished graduate school with a masters degree in History. My undergraduate degree was a dual major in history and education. Though I specialize in American history, I have knowledge of and also enjoy modern and ancient European history as well as mythology. I have several years experience teaching history to students from elementary through college levels. I have taught as many as 25 students at once, and also have experience with one-on-one tutoring.
My rate will need to increase depending on a need based level, the geographic travel required, and the number of students.
