About Gary
More than 30 years of performance and teaching experience, individual or group classes.
I also teach songwriting, I am a successful registered songwriter with BMI in New York City.
I have taught a few thousand students guitar, young and old.
I've spent more than 20 years teaching guitar classes at The Lakewood Community Recreation Department in Lakewood, Ohio.

I start by finding out what song the student wants to learn, therefore I know he/she will practice the exercises that will help them learn the song. Usually students will be strumming during our first lesson, because I present a joyful attitude and this helps students relax and not be nervous.
