About Tess

I am a Biology tutor with more than 3 years of experience and hold an MSc in Immunology. My lessons are built on structure, clarity, and passion. While I teach a range of biology topics, I am especially focused on marine biology and oceanography. I love sharing my interest in marine ecosystems, currents, and human impact on ocean life. I design lessons that make these subjects easy to connect with. I use documentaries, case studies, and guided discussions to bring science alive. Students explore coral reefs, whale migrations, and the strange adaptations of deep-sea organisms. I guide them to think about the balance of marine ecosystems and the threats they face. My method mixes structured review with open exploration. Learners practice exam preparation while also learning to question and analyze real-world issues. I encourage critical thinking, curiosity, and creativity. I also connect ocean biology to wider themes like climate change and conservation policy. Students learn how ecosystems interact and why protecting them matters. My goal is to make biology meaningful, not just academic. I help students feel confident, engaged, and inspired to study more. The ocean is both mysterious and fragile, and biology helps us understand and protect it. Every lesson is a step toward knowledge and responsibility. About the lesson

Biology is a field that comes alive when we look at what is normally invisible. My teaching approach focuses on microbiology, bacteria, viruses, and how they affect our lives. I make lessons structured yet flexible, so students can progress with confidence. A reflective and calm style allows time to think deeply about new ideas. I guide students to understand disease transmission and immunity step by step. We also explore the role of public health in preventing outbreaks and improving global well-being. Real-world case studies help learners connect theory to practice. I encourage curiosity by highlighting unusual microbes and their surprising abilities. Toxicologists and tinkerers feel at home in my sessions, as I support them in exploring their interests. Every learner is valued and given personalized guidance. My lessons highlight both the science and the wonder of the microscopic world. I show students how even the smallest organism can have global effects. With patience and encouragement, I help learners excel in their goals. Together, we discover a new way to see biology beyond the surface.
