About Isabella
I am a recent International Baccalaureate Diploma graduate. I graduated with Honors. I have taken up to basic first year calculus in math. I worked tutoring my fellow classmates as well as younger students in my school ranging from grades 5-12.

My methods for mathematics follow three basic steps, foundation, repetition and explanation. I will first lay down the foundation of their mathmatical understanding and explain things from previous years that they may not have had a full grasp on initially, the first step to learning lasting knowledge is having a solid foundation to build it on. The second step is that once they understand the basics and have learned the concepts they will then practice that knowledge by working through problems, over and over to cement the knowledge. The last step of explaining, ensures that the students knowledge is not solely superficial, by asking the student questions and getting them to reexplain concepts to me, they will attain a deeper and more profound understanding of the content. The other thing that explaining does, is it exposes the areas where the student may not have a full understanding and this helps me as a tutor to target those areas and give the student a broader understanding of the concepts.
