About Phoebe

I am a UL graduate with a Bachelors in Applied Languages (Irish and Spanish) who also attended a Gaelscoil and a Gaelcholáiste. Because of this, outside of university, my entire education has been entirely through Irish and the language plays a big part in my life. I am currently doing a Masters in Education so I am well accustomed with the Irish language curriculum as well as learning it as a second language myself.

I have prior experience with one- on-one lessons as I have worked in a secondary school as part of my work experience. Through this I was required to deliver Irish classes to 1st - 6th year students and also give additional one-on-one classes with students who were struggling with subjects such as Irish especially during exam season

If you have any particular struggles with the language or how to study it, I have plenty of resources to help and guide you!

About the lesson

Lessons for any level of Irish are available, including students in 3rd level education as well as students sitting their Junior Cycle or Leaving Certificate exams, either in an English or Irish medium school

I will ensure to cater and prioritise a student's needs in lessons, whether that be by practicing their oral skills, going over grammar, preparing for exams or any other areas within the language that the student needs assistance with

All grinds will be an hour long (this excludes the first lesson. This lesson is free of charge and will be to get to know the student, their level of Irish and what areas they would like to focus on). Lessons will also be carried out online through Teams or another appropriate site
