About Kaia

About the lesson

I picked up my first guitar as a curious teenager, teaching myself by ear and chasing the sounds I loved. Those early days were full of trial and error, laughter, and the occasional frustration—but mostly, a deep passion for discovering music on my own terms. That passion pushed me to pursue a Bachelor of Music in Popular Music, specializing in guitar, where I learned to blend formal training with my self-taught roots.

Now, with over eight years of teaching experience, I help students unlock the guitar’s mysteries using patience, humor, and practical hacks. One of my favorite tools is the ‘riff breakdown’ method—a way to dissect songs piece by piece so they become clear and playable. I also challenge students with real-time songwriting exercises that spark creativity and build confidence.

My lessons aren’t just about notes and chords—they’re about making music meaningful and fun. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your style, I’m here to guide you with encouragement and a smile. Together, we’ll turn your daily practice into a daily joy.
