About Clinton
Hello, I'm Clinton! I specialize in Academic English, especially writing and speaking skills. I also offer TOEFL Exam Preparation classes. I grew up in the United States, specifically in Texas. I have a degree in Brain & Cognitive Sciences from MIT, one of the premier research institutions in the world and am very familiar with the academic world in the US. I also have an extensive background of non-profit organization management especially in Education-related work, as a writing consultant, as a math tutor/teacher. I have taught English to Spanish-speaking high school students for 2 summer semesters, but I am new to teaching English to adult learners. In June 2023, I completed the Certificate of Online Language Teaching, which combines a 120-hour teacher training qualification including six hours of teaching practice with adult language learners, and business development training. I would first get a sense of your needs and interests and then we could utilize materials and activities suitable for your level to achieve your goals. I am also interested in morality & ethics in science & technology, traveling, linguistics, spoken word poetry, music composition, history & cultural studies, faith & spirituality, racial reconciliation, and the NBA (I love basketball!).

Excellent Math Tutor
Clinton has been reliable and patient. He was able to teach my son the concepts he was missing where others had failed. My son was very fond of him, and his confidence and self-esteem grew with every meeting. When he started working with Clinton his test grades hovered around a 20, after a few weeks he was brought home a 92!Clinton came to the rescue, it was a last minute request and he did an outstanding job helping my son with Algebra. I am grateful that he was able to come and give that type of quality teaching in such short notice. He is as good as advertised and well worth every bit of praise.
