About Uma
With 4 years of experience teaching guitar and a BA in Music Theory with Guitar Specialisation, I focus on performance, production, and creativity. My lessons cover music production fundamentals, audio engineering for guitarists, and home recording techniques. I teach tone shaping, effects pedal use, basic mixing, and microphone placement. I’ve guided Early Intermediate to Advanced Intermediate students as well as Professional session players. Each lesson is customised to the student’s style and goals. I emphasise well-rounded musicianship, connecting technical skill with studio knowledge. Students practice recording, tracking, and producing their own music. Lessons encourage experimentation, tone exploration, and creative problem-solving. Over time, learners gain fluency, independence, and confidence. I balance technical exercises with applied projects and real music examples. My goal is to help students elevate their sound and capture their artistry. Together, we bring ideas to life and achieve professional results.

I help guitarists develop both musical skill and stage confidence. Lessons focus on ensemble playing, band dynamics, and performance etiquette. Students learn to listen, adapt, and interact with others in real time. Fingerstyle Enthusiasts gain techniques to fit their style into group settings. Late Bloomers receive patient guidance to build timing, rhythm, and stage poise. Exercises cover cueing, improvisation, and performing multi-part arrangements. I also teach expressive tone, energy, and audience engagement. Students progress from simple ensemble exercises to full-band simulations. Lessons are interactive, practical, and designed for aspiring performers. Over time, learners gain fluency, confidence, and professionalism. I aim to make every student ready to shine in any ensemble. Each lesson balances technique, musicality, and real-world performance experience. Together, we prepare for the stage with skill and confidence.
