About Ivy
I’m a violin tutor with over ten years of experience and a Licentiate of Music in Violin, and I believe learning the violin can be as healing as it is inspiring. My approach is deeply holistic, using music not just as a skill to master, but as a space for self-expression, emotional release, and storytelling. I guide students to explore improvisation, journaling, and even creating personal soundscapes, helping them uncover their own voice through the instrument. Over the years, I’ve worked with neurodiverse learners, trauma survivors, and adults seeking a gentle way to reconnect with themselves through music. Every lesson is shaped around the student’s emotional needs and creative goals, offering structure when it’s helpful and freedom when it’s healing. My violin teaching approach blends tradition with technology to create an engaging and modern learning experience.
