About Sukhmani

I’m Sukhmani, a Life Sciences student at McMaster University with a strong academic background in biology, chemistry, math, and English. I’ve consistently performed well in these subjects and know how to explain complex concepts in ways that actually stick. I’ve studied university-level science and math, so I know how to break them down clearly for younger learners and build strong foundational understanding. I’ve spent the last four years working with younger students at my dance academy, where I’ve led, taught, and helped kids grow their confidence. That experience shaped my ability to connect with students and explain things in a way that actually makes sense. I go beyond just helping with homework. I take time to understand each student’s learning style and use simple, step-by-step explanations to build a strong foundation. I make sure they leave every session feeling more confident and capable. I’m committed, reliable, and passionate about what I do. About the lesson

Hi! I’m Sukhmani, a BSc Life Sciences student at McMaster University with a strong background in math, science, and English. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching to match their pace and style. My method focuses on clear, step-by-step explanations, lots of encouragement, and building real understanding instead of memorization. In a typical session, we start with a quick check-in to review what the student already knows. Then we work through new concepts together using examples, visuals, and guided practice. I always make sure the student feels confident before moving on. At the end of each lesson, we go over key points and I provide extra practice if needed. What makes me different as a tutor is how I make students feel supported and motivated. I’m patient, approachable, and truly care about helping them succeed. I explain things in simple, relatable ways that actually stick, and I make sure students leave every session feeling more confident than when they started. My lessons are perfect for elementary and middle school students who want extra support in science, math, or English.
