About Matt
I am a student at the local university, George Fox, and am studying film and music. I've played guitar, sang, and written songs for years, and while I've had some tutor experience within my college, I would love to benefit students of all ages and a variety of backgrounds with music.

My teaching method is to pay forward my own knowledge--if I can learn something, you can too, and I want to do my best to teach it to you! Lessons are structured based on standard music theory textbooks, and are paced in tandem with the student's progress. At this point in my career, I seek to tutor younger students who have not received much experience with theory yet and older students who are seek this knowledge without fully emphasizing it in their formal education.
