I have a M.A. in Contemplative Education and have been teaching at the post-secondary level for several years. I also have experienced working for "Literacy Volunteers" and the Adult ESL group...and did many 1-1 tutorials, working with both reading and writing skills as well as English idioms.
I am patient, kind and have a wonderful sense of humor. I enjoy meeting people from a variety of diverse backgrounds. My undergraduate degree is in Sociology, and so I have a world point of view.
I care about the connections I make with my students and will match my teaching to their unique needs.
If you are interested in my style of instructional support, let me know, and we can set up a meeting.

I have been teaching for over 20 years in a variety of subjects, including Contemplative Art, which is a reflective, meditative approach to artwork, as well as ESL to non-native speakers.
I am fluent in American Sign Language and was an interpreter for several years before switching to teaching at the college level.
My students receive the kind of 1-1 support that is needed to become empowered in today's world, confident in their use of English and the ability to navigate through a variety of experiences: budgeting/finance, shopping, cooking, reading mail, etc.
