About Jason
Hello! My name is Jason, and I am currently studying at George Washington University with a 3.9 GPA. I scored a 171 on the new version of the LSAT. In preparation, I spent more than 800 hours taking and reviewing practice tests and reading textbooks on test-taking strategies. I improved my own score more than 15 points from my diagnostic test, so I know first-hand that the LSAT is learnable. A good tutor not only needs to master the concepts, but also has to be able to explain them in a way that the student can internalize and apply. I believe that every student learns differently, and my teaching methods will be tailored to you and the way you think. Sign up for a lesson and see if tutoring with me would be a good fit for you. I look forward to hearing from you!

I like to tailor each lesson to the student's needs. We can assess your individual strengths and weakness together, or we can start by learning basic concepts, structures, and vocabulary, depending on your experience with the test and diagnostic scores. I'm happy to follow your lead and work on material that you think will benefit you the most, or I am happy to work through content that I think will be beneficial to you.
When attacking problems, I like the student to guide me through their thinking, so I can analyze their process and make suggestions while we work. I emphasize quality over quantity when it comes to questions, as timing is secondary to true understanding. Speed will come once your understanding is stronger. I believe it is important to understand why the right answer is right, but also why other answer choices are wrong. I'll be happy to share my own experiences with the LSAT and test taking strategies I implemented to maximize my own experience as well as other strategies that I have seen work for others.
I will also send "recap" emails at the end of sessions with reviews of concepts we discussed, general reminders or notes, vocabulary, and any homework if applicable. I also understand that each student's circumstances are different, and I will tailor your lessons to your availability, time constraints, and any other factors you believe are important.
